The representatives of Swedish psychedelia emerged in Gothenburg, but their influences are far from their country of origin, found in bands like The Doors and The Stooges and others closer to their generation, as is the case of R.E.M. or The Smashing Pumpkins. They have achieved greater recognition on the American continent, driven in part by the appearance of some of their songs in television series such as Californication and the celebrated Six Feet Under.
