The name Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the most important references of American Southern rock of all times. An unfortunate plane crash in 1977 that caused the death of their vocalist, Ronnie Van Zant, and several other members of the band, meant the forced and premature dissolution of the band, turning them into a legend. Considered by the American edition of Rolling Stone as one of the 100 greatest artists of all time and with a place of honor in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, their reunion with new members has been one of the greatest events in the history of Azkena Rock Festival.
