BLACK SABBATH CANCEL THEIR EUROPEAN TOUR. IN ITS PLACE, OZZY & FRIENDS WILL OFFER A SPECIAL CONCERT AT THE AZKENA ROCK FESTIVAL

ARF2012

Black Sabbath – who announced, at the end of 2011, the recording of their first studio album in 33 years and a world tour- have been forced to put some plans on hold due to guitarist Tony Iommi’s battle with lymphoma.

Black Sabbath have announced the cancellation of their European summer tour. However, the band does not want to let their fans down, which is why Ozzy Osbourne will perform the majority of the dates announced for the Black Sabbath tour, including the Azkena Rock Festival, billed as Ozzy & Friends. For this unique show, Ozzy & Friends will feature appearances by special guests, like the musician Geezer Butler, founding member of the legendary band from Birmingham who will join Ozzy to play a selection from the Black Sabbath repertoire as a show of respect and support for his friend Tony Iommi. Also set to join is long-time former guitarist and Ozzy band member, Zakk Wylde.

Tony Iommi continues to make excellent progress and is looking forward to being back on the road. Meanwhile, Black Sabbath continue to write and record the tracks of their upcoming album in the United Kingdom.
Shortly, the Azkena Rock Festival will announce more bands to add to the line-up of this new edition.

Return of weekend festival tickets
All those, who upon the cancellation of Black Sabbath, wish to return their weekend festival tickets, can do so at the same point of sale where they were purchased, from tomorrow until 10th March.
