AZKENA ROCK FESTIVAL 2009

In 2009 the Azkena Rock gets stronger again with one of the best line-ups ever thanks to the addition of great legends like The Black Crowes or Alice Cooper. The Robinson brothers’ perfomance was one of the most awaited ones and they did not decline anybody giving a true lesson real skill. Alice Cooper’s concert was full of old tricks and great classics leaving a huge smile to all of his yesterday’s and today’s fans. Other bands standing out in this Azkena Rock edition were Mike Farris and his quality gospel-rock, the psychedelic rock from The Soundtrack of our Lives, the high soul from Eli Paperboy Reed, Dr Dog’s fantastic pop, the garage madness from White Denim, Woven Hand’s Fol. Darkness or the blues-rock from the great Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. Without any doubt it is one of the best Azkena Rock Festival line-ups as it combined wisely old classics with some of the best new current bands getting an unanimous applause by audience and the critics.
